If you're involved in an incident, accident, fire, or theft, report it to us as soon as possible. The sooner you get in touch, the smoother the process.
Important If you — or any named driver on your policy — report a claim more than 24 hours after an incident occurred, you will be liable for an additional excess of £500. Don't delay, even if you're unsure whether you want to make a full claim. You still need to tell us about any incident, no matter how minor or who was responsible. |
How to report a claim
Contact our dedicated claims team as soon as possible:
- Email: ukclaims@inshur.com
- Phone: 0808 164 6545
Once you've made contact, you'll be assigned a dedicated claims specialist who will guide you through the process.
What information to gather at the scene
If it's safe to do so, try to collect the following:
- Full name, contact details and vehicle registration of anyone else involved
- Address and insurance provider of any third parties (if available)
- Number of passengers in your vehicle and any other vehicles involved
- Contact details of any witnesses
- Details of the incident — damage to vehicles, property, or any injuries
- Photos and dashcam footage if available
- Details of any emergency services present — if police attended, take the officer's name and number
What happens next?
Your dedicated claims specialist will contact you to talk through the claims process and answer any questions. Every claim is different so there's no fixed timeframe, but providing as much information as possible at the start will help things move quickly.
If your vehicle can't be driven, we'll arrange roadside recovery. If it's safe to drive, we can collect it and return it once repairs are complete.
Using our Approved Repairer network
If you register your claim directly with INSHUR and use our Approved Repairer network, you'll benefit from:
- Minimum 5-year guarantee on all repairs
- Use of original manufacturer parts where possible
- Roadside recovery if your vehicle can't be driven
- Collection and return of your vehicle once repaired
